- Diagnostic Steps; Step 1.Tried starting vehicle and vehicle has no battery power, jump started vehicle, vehicle starts and runs, multiple warning lights on in dash. Step 2. Inspected under hood for reason for belt to come off and found water pump seized causing belt to come off. Drive belt is damaged and on passenger seat. Step 3. Charged battery and found battery wont take a charge, battery needs replaced. Step 4. Using jumper started vehicle with power from jumper checked cooling system for hydrocarbons from overheating and found no hydrocarbons at this time due to water pump inoperative, need to check again after water pump is working. Correction – Recommend replacing battery prior to further repairs, recommend replacing water pump with belt and check for head gasket damage due to possible overheating.
