- Diagnostic Steps; Step 1. Tried starting vehicle and verified hard start, check engine light is on and fuel smell from under hood. Step 2. Inspected under hood and found fuel leak from fuel injector rail connection to injector- seals were replaced see invoice 38092 Step 3. Removed fuel rail and found rail faulty causing fuel leak. Also found cylinder 1 fuel injector faulty. Correction – Recommend replacing fuel rail assembly and cylinder 1 fuel injector.
- Performed a visual Inspection and prepared an estimate for parts and labor.
- Removed and replaced cylinder 1 fuel injector, fuel rail assembly, and fuel injector seals. Started vehicle and checked for leaks, fuel leak no longer present from fuel injectors. Road tested vehicle. No further problem found.
