- Diagnostic Steps; Step 1. Verified left tail light is inoperative, light is LED and has water intrusion. Vehicle has collision damage to left rear corner where tail light attaches to vehicle. Step 2. Using volt meter checked power and ground at tail light and found both good, water is getting into tail light through wiring connector in interior of vehicle due to poor fitment of tail light to body gasket causing light to become inoperative. Correction – Recommend collision repair shop to correct fitment of tail light to body and replace left tail light assembly. As a temporary fix, maybe possible to add thicker gasket to tail light
- Performed a visual Inspection and prepared an estimate for parts and labor.
