    • Diagnostic Steps; Step 1. Started the vehicle and verified the check engine light is on. Step 2. Scanned the vehicle for diagnostic trouble codes. Found powertrain control module code P0340 (Camshaft Position Sensor "A" Circuit) Step 3. Visually checked sensor and connection. Both appear normal. During visual inspection the check engine light turned off. Step 4. Road tested vehicle under similar conditions that the code was set (freeze frame). The fault did not reset. Correction – unable to currently duplicate concern. Recommend replacement of sensor due to high failure rate.
